Why is it important to find a solution to this challenge?

EIT Climate-KIC Learning Hub online team are looking to the future… Innovation: For learning experiences to fulfil the KIC brand/promise ie: new, innovative, cutting edge learning strategies, pedagogies and digital (e.g. online/mobile) technologies Audience/skills: Finding new ways to engage and empower climate change agents (e.g. entrepreneurs, innovators, city officials) to help build capacity, close skills-gaps, disseminate the latest science/tools in the climate/sustainability sector Experiential: to create a vision for digital learning that encompasses personalised journeys, active, peer-to-peer and social learning strategies… to help people unlearn and learn together as goals, technology and skills-gaps change.

What is the possible impact of a good solution?

Amazing learning experiences and interventions are needed to engage and empower the audience if we are to support and accelerate systemic change to reach climate targets. Successful digital learning experiences will impact: • Those professionals who wish to develop skills to be ‘climate change agents’ • All users/learners e.g. PhD students, city officials, EIT Climate-KIC programme participants + leads/coaches • The organisations/start-ups they are working in or with! And, ultimately – this will impact society at large through systemic change: stronger climate action and sustainable business models to mitigate, adapt and enable innovative solutions: ideas, finance, community involvement.

What is the expected outcome of this challenge?
