How to prepare for the challenge?
Venture into the mind of a lecturer or a student. What do you hope to see in a classroom of the future? We will be looking at the possibility of
- being able to measure the satisfaction of the students on the lecture
- tools to augment the learning process for the students
- tools to facilitate student-teacher engagement
Why is it important to find a solution to this challenge?
We believe that learning can only take place through doing. And that means that a lot of the learning needs to take place within a physical space as we need to ideate, build and launch projects. The classroom of today is not equipped with the right tools to spark joy in both the teachers and the students.
What is the possible impact of a good solution?
We will have an engaging classroom of the future where students would love to come down to learn and teachers will have a lot of fun playing and learning with the students with no qualms on collecting feedback. Grades will be based on the project work. Evaluation of project work will be done through an automated process.
Happy Students and Happy Teachers = Happy Educational Outcome
What is the expected outcome of this challenge?
SUTD Entrepreneurship Centre will facilitate a trial SUTD Education department to ensure that the concept can be put to good use within the education sector in Singapore and possibly the Rest of the World (maybe even the solar system, Milky Way and Beyond!)
