The three winning teams of global DigiEduHack have now been awarded. The award ceremony took place yesterday in Brussels at the European Commission. The teams representing Mexico, Spain and Italy received their awards by Mariya Gabriel, the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education, Youth and Sport. Every team got a prize cheque worth 5000 euros and became Digital Education Ambassadors.

“By combining students, teachers and innovators, DigiEduHack brings an innovative approach to digital education. We are very much encouraged by examples like yours”, European Commissioner Mariya Gabriel said to the teams during the ceremony.

She was very excited to meet the teams: “You will be the digital education ambassadors from now on, we count on you! We are already looking forward to the second edition of DigiEduHack, our aim is to attract even more participants and solve many more challenges.”

The teams also visited the Parliamentarium of European House of History and enjoyed a delicious celebratory dinner together in the evening.
