The challenge of the Hackathon 4 Good AI is to combine the programming skills with a reflection and learning on sustainability challenges of our planet.
The three topics of the Hackathon are already announced: Hack the Transport; Hack the Waste; Hack the Shopping.
The programming challenge will be annouced on October 3, 2019, midnight CET.
-Hackathon 4 Good AI, focuses on three topics which have been already announced. -The programming challenge will be announced on October 3, 2019 at midnight, CET. -The participants of the hackathon have 24 hours time to propose the solution.
-Only the solutions which will be submitted by October 4, 2019, by 23:59, CET, will be eligible to compete. Please read the terms and conditions of participation here.
The Hackathon for Good AI is a virtual hackathon of 24 hours.
Participation is open to pupils between the ages 14 and 17, from DigiEduHack participant countries.
Participation is open to groups between minimal 2 and maximal 15 participants.
Indeed, the registration for the Hackathon for Good AI, is free and necessary. Please register between 25.9.2019 and 3.10.2019.
The pupils younger then 18 will need to submit a signed parental approval concerning the management of the data.
A good solution to the challenge is not only a functional code, which can be quite simplistic.
A good solution also needs to demonstrate a background research on one of the topics of the challenges.
To compete in the challenge you will need to submit your solution by 5.10.2019 by 00:10 CET 1) on the participants portal 2) and to the organizers directly.
STEP 1 - ON THE PARTICIPANTS PORTAL OF DIGIEDUHACK
- In your dashboard as a participant you will fill in the box titled SOLUTION. Please fill in all the questions.
- Under "Solution description" you are obliged to provide a) URL to your Scratch project and a brief description of why you have chosen the challenge (Hack the Waste, Hack the Transport, Hack the Shopping), and what does your solution teaches.
STEP 2 - DIRECTLY TO THE ORGANIZERS

By participating in the Hackathon 4 Good AI, you agree to be bound by the copyright terms and conditions of participation. A violation of these conditions as well as disturbance or manipulation attempts of the hackathon course will result in exclusion from the hackathon. Please read the conditions here.
The best teams can win €5000 in a global award contest and are eligible for the organizer´s award fund of 500 EUR.
