Jonas Bäckelin

DigiEduHack National Ambassador

Jonas work as Senior Solution Consultant for the City of Stockholm Professional Development Platform. He has over 20 years of experience in EdTech and has been working with Microsoft for Education, Google Workspace for Education, Intel Corporation and HP Public Sector. Jonas volunteer in the reskilling and upskilling committee at Swedish JobTech, Chapter Lead for Creative Commons Sweden and act as volunteer coordinator for EdCamp Sweden. His experience with DigiEduHack started in 2021 and was in 2024 selected as national ambassador for Sweden.

Now he is writing a thesis in for his Master of Science (120 credits) in Educational Technology. Micro-credentials have been described as a labor market megatrend by the European Centre for Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP). The research area for his thesis is focusing on using micro-credentials for upskilling strategies of employees in the Swedish Public Sector. One important aspect is informal learning and grassroot initiatives to keep abreast with technology development.
