In addition to project development, Finovate will feature virtual seminars led by industry experts. These sessions will cover essential topics in FinTech, providing participants with valuable insights into emerging trends and technologies, as well as offering guidance for project development. It’s a chance to learn from the best while expanding your network with like-minded individuals. Compete for awards with your innovative solutions! The hackathon will recognise outstanding achievements with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. Additionally, a Finance Award will be given for the best financial-focused solution. Challenge and goals
At Finovate Hackathon 2024, our goal is to bring together 300 participants from diverse backgrounds, ranging from beginners to experienced coders. By fostering an inclusive environment, we want to bridge the gap between finance and coding. We also aim to have a panel of 20 expert judges, consisting of industry leaders and FinTech professionals, who will provide feedback and evaluate projects based on creativity, technical execution, and impact. These judges will play a crucial role in guiding participants toward creating meaningful, practical innovations in the finance sector. To recognise participants' efforts, we hope to offer $1,000 worth of funding in awards. We also plan to present a special Finance Award for the best finance-focused solution, rewarding participants who tackle financial challenges in unique and impactful ways. Additionally, we aim to run a successful social media campaign to promote the hackathon and its outcomes. By amplifying participants’ work and sharing updates throughout the event, we want to build momentum and showcase the potential of FinTech solutions to a broader audience. Overall, our goal is to create an enriching experience for participants, offering them the chance to learn, network, and develop innovative projects in the FinTech space. Through these efforts, we hope to inspire continued engagement in the field of financial technology long after the hackathon concludes.
Expectations and requirements for the solutions and participants
For our fintech hackathon, running online from Nov 10-17, we expect all participants to write their code during the 16-17 day period. Teams must submit a GitHub repository link with their code and a video of no more than 5 minutes. The video should explain their project, highlight key features, and include a demo of the solution. All submissions must be completed by the end of the event to be considered. Good luck, and we look forward to seeing your innovative fintech solutions!

Throughout the Finovate 2024, we will provide dedicated tech support to assist participants with any issues that arise. Our team will be available to help troubleshoot technical problems and answer questions promptly. In addition, we’ve secured a panel of experienced judges from the fintech industry who will review submissions based on innovation, functionality, and presentation. These experts will offer valuable insights and feedback on your projects. We're excited to provide support and guidance, ensuring that everyone has the tools they need to succeed!
