Filipa has always been curious, which led her to explore the scientific world.
She graduated in Biology at the University of Lisbon and dedicated herself to research, both in Portugal and in other countries, for 5 years. Always seeking to understand different realities, he dedicated the next 16 years to various projects in multinationals, national and international projects.With two postgraduate degrees, one in Marketing and the other in Medical Affairs, he further expanded her academic knowledge.
The arrival of motherhood marked the beginning of a deep reflection, leading her to reevaluate values and rediscover her purpose. This period inspired her to look at the world of start-ups from a new perspective.
Throughout her career, she observed the importance of people and human skills in the organizations he has been to, and the impact of them in motivation, work environment, productivity and sustainability.
Currently, she collaborates with an edtech company in Portugal - Kinderpedia - and is the founder of powerUP. Power’s mission is to empower individuals within organizations, helping them uncover their unique strengths and develop essential Human Skills like Empathy, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Communication. The core is all about co-creating personalized solutions and using data-driven and scientific methods to enhance these human skills rapidly.
To develop PowerUP, she went back to his scientific roots and began to develop more knowledge of how the human brain works and learns. After all, if the learning process is cognitive-emotional, then a methodology that involves effective skills development must be based on a deeper knowledge of how the brain works and learns.
