Jonas works as solution manager and learning designer at Adda, a company in government administration owned by the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR). Previous experience comes from working with educational technology and change management at the ICT-unit, Education Administration in City of Stockholm. He has over 20 years of experience in EdTech and has been working with Microsoft for Education, Google Workspace for Education, Intel Corporation and HP Public Sector. Jonas are part of the reskilling and upskilling committee at Swedish JobTech, Chapter Lead for Creative Commons Sweden and act as volunteer coordinator for EdCamp Sweden. His experience with DigiEduHack started in 2021 and he has since then acted as both host and judge as well as voted for solutions in the final.

The strategic agenda for the digitalization of the public sector in Sweden, also known as the “Municipal Handshake for Welfare Development through Digitalization”, has suggested that the talent pool for the public sector in 2030 must rely on upskilling and reskilling of exiting workforce. During his Master of Science (MSc) in educational technology, Jonas presented a prototype for how modern technology can be used for organizations to succeed in strategic competence provision. The concept of data-driven decision making was combined with classification algorithms to discover the desired competence that was missing or suggest a new training area. The ambition is to use micro-credentials to improve skills intelligence, which involves mapping and identifying skills shortage and gather data for predicting new demands on the labour market.

Adda is responsible for the educational platform that host the national initiative Yrkesresan (i.e. the Professional Journey ), which is an introduction and professional development for employees in social services. By consolidating national guidelines and best practices for social work and adapting these to an instructive setting for different areas of social services, this becomes a hub for technology-enhanced learning. The employees say they feel better equipped to face the challenges of work. They have better tools and know where to find updated and correct information. Today 275 municipalities have joined, which represent 95% of all municipalities in Sweden.
