EduWell Hackathon
"EduWell Hackathon" will be a one-day intensive event aimed at promoting wellbeing in digital education through creativity and collaboration. The event will involve 5 teachers, as mentors to guide student teams, who will first receive training to become mentors.
Students aged 8–15 will be divided into two age groups, each with a tailored challenge focused on digital wellbeing. They will participate in a 2-hour workshop where they will receive the challenge topic and work in small teams to develop tech-based solutions—such as apps, websites, interactive posters, or Micro:bit devices—that support emotional and mental wellbeing in educational settings.
While students work on their projects under the guidance of mentors, parallel training sessions will be held for the remaining teachers, enhancing their skills in technology and student wellbeing support.
The hackathon will create a dynamic and inclusive space where both students and educators will learn, innovate, and collaborate. By empowering youth to build thoughtful, tech-driven solutions and equipping teachers with updated skills, EduWell Hackathon will foster a healthier, more supportive digital learning environment.
The address for this onsite event is: L. 8, Rr. Sule Demneri, Nr.29, Durres, Albania

Well-being in Digital Education
Challenge and goals
The main goal of EduWell Hackathon will be to foster awareness and action around student wellbeing in digital education. Through creative teamwork and the use of educational technology, students will be encouraged to reflect on their digital habits and develop meaningful solutions that promote emotional balance, healthy screen time, and positive learning environments.
Expectations and requirements for the solutions and participants
Participants will be expected to actively engage in all phases of the event. Students (ages 8–15) should be curious, creative, and willing to collaborate in small teams. Each team will work on a unique challenge related to wellbeing in digital education, using tools such as Micro:bit, Scratch, Canva, or other platforms. Basic digital literacy is recommended but not required.
Teachers joining the program must commit to a parallel training session during the event and be open to serving as mentors or jury members. All participants must respect the collaborative and inclusive spirit of the hackathon.
Available Support
Support for the event will include collaboration with eTwinning Albania, a leading platform for educational networking and project-based learning. eTwinning will provide access to a wide pool of motivated teachers from across the country, who may be selected as participants, mentors, or jury members. The platform’s strong focus on collaboration and innovation in education makes it an ideal partner for recruiting qualified educators.
