Using Digital Skills to Solve Agri-Food Challenges: Foodathon 2023
Junior Achievement Network has a long-standing expertise in delivering Innovation Camps to address different business challenges. This challenge presents the methodology employed in organizing an Innovation Camp specifically designed for secondary school students, with a primary focus on promoting creativity and problem-solving in the context of climate mitigation, with an emphasis on utilising digital skills. The camp serves as an immersive learning experience aimed at cultivating innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, and collaboration among the participants. By providing a structured framework, interactive workshops, and hands-on activities, the camp creates an environment conducive to active learning and the exploration of new ideas.
The Foodathon as an intensive Innovation Camp aims to raise awareness among young generations of the significant challenges facing our food systems today, to help young talent gain entrepreneurial skills and acquire the confidence to become potential future entrepreneurs in the agri-food sector. As part of DigiEduHack, students are encouraged to leverage their digital skills to address this challenge.
