How to Teach Exact and Natural Sciences Using Digital Tools in Georgia?

How to teach exact and natural sciences using digital tools in an easy and fun way in Georgia?

According to the national or international level, Georgian students work precisely on natural sciences, they do not choose professions in these directions. The labor market suffers from a lack of qualified personnel, and gender stereotypes, which are widespread in our country, are also a big problem. In most schools of Georgia, we do not have laboratories, and the educational system of natural sciences suffers from the lack of Georgian-language diverse resources adapted to our reality, the scarcity of virtual resources, all improvisation and responsibility rests with the teacher.

Artificial intelligence and robotics play an important role in the modern world, and the role of STEM education is gradually increasing. Accordingly, developed countries are increasing their intellectual power in this direction. At the same time, our country - Georgia is only in a passive position of the consumer in this regard.

At this stage, we believe that students should learn to use already existing digital resources correctly, inform their peers about the existence and usefulness of these resources, And in the future, they will be able to think of diverse digital resources, share ideas and create these resources using auxiliary applications or programming languages.

The onsite address for this blended onsite/online hackathon is: Rustaveli Ave. №6, Tbilisi, Georgia. 0108
