Meet the experts: European Digital Education Hub
On April 4, The European Digital Education Hub organised an online Networking activity to introduce the Hub’s activities, and to create synergies between DigiEduHack’s hackers and the Hub’s experts.
The activity gathered around 30 participants eager to know more about the Hub’s activities and the digital education ecosystem.
Juhani Koivuviita, member of the European Digital Education Hub and co-founder and CEO of Educraftor, the innovation and development agency in the education sector, first introduced the Hub, which is a cross-sectorial platform bringing together people with different roles and skills, with the objective to learn from each other and cooperate to spread and gain information on digital education. The Hub, as part of the European Commission’s Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2017, was launched in June 2022 and aims to engage digital education practitioners and to promote digital education skills and innovations. The Hub is also closely cooperating with the DigiEduHack initiative.
Thanks to the Hub, an online community of practice in digital education which shares experiences, best practices and inspiring practices related to digital education, the DigiEduHack community had the chance to see the variety of events and activities the Hub offers. As a result, the Hub engages and connects people and organisations from all sectors of education to shape the current and future of digital education.
During the networking activity, the Hub also presented its Accelerator programme, consisting in a 6-month intensive programme to support the growth and development of a prototype from selected teams in Europe.
The webinar speakers then invited the participants to join different breakout rooms where they were able to discuss with the Hub’s experts about different topics:
• Workshops and workgroups
• Knowledge building
• Collaborative inquiry
• Accelerator Programme
Later this year, the Hub will organise two physical workshops on Well-being in Digital Education and AI in Digital Education, in Sweden and Belgium respectively, as well as monthly online workshops. Finally, in September, three working groups (the so-called squads) will start working on the following topics: ‘Explainable AI’, ‘Well-being in digital education' and ‘Future concepts in digital education’.
Stay tuned for information about the dates and how to register!
To sum up, if you are interested in Digital Education, if you want to innovate, participate to a workshop, or discuss with experts from the field, don’t wait any longer and register to the Hub to be part of this brilliant community which builds the future of digital education!
