This mobile simulator allows you to calculate your gastronomic budget quickly and organized, and also be able to include your daily income and expenses, obtaining costs and profits.

The characteristics are: 

1. Reinforce the student's knowledge when calculating the costs of a certain dish, allowing them to deduce and convert each standard grammage of the recipes into weight measurement units used by suppliers, 

2. Determine the sales price of the dish 

3. Calculate the nutritional value, and

4. Being of global use, synonyms of the name of the raw material and option of alternative products will be used


Este simulador móvil permite que puedas calcular tu presupuesto gastronómico de manera rápida y organizada, además lograr incluir tus ingresos y egresos diarios obteniendo costos y utilidades

Las características son:

Context

Gastronomy students have complications when calculating the quantities to be purchased to make different culinary preparations, as well as determining the budget that will be required for the entire production line.

This generates demotivation and little predisposition to carry out calculations, so this proposal seeks to stimulate a more personalized and dynamic learning environment based on the simulator.

Who Benefits?

The group for which it is intended is all students in the gastronomic area, to whom this simulator would help to make a faster budget and certainty when making financial decisions.

Impact

When students use the simulator, they would show a better predisposition to carry out numerical calculations, motivating them to start their gastronomic businesses, having greater knowledge and control of the financial processes of the entire production line.

Team work

The participants are currently teachers of the gastronomy career, by being in daily contact with the students, it was possible to detect this weakness, which is why the idea of the simulator was born to strengthen the learning of cost management and thus provide greater security to undertake.

Innovativeness

This FOODCOST simulator helps to calculate the gastronomic budget in a quick and organized manner, and also manages to include daily income and expenses, obtaining costs and profits, which will allow the user to make financial decisions. 

The most innovative features are converting each standard weight of the recipes that the user adds to the simulator into popular weight measurement units used by suppliers, as well as the use of synonyms for the name of the raw material, its nutritional value and option of alternative products.

Transferability

The Foodcost simulator can be used by event organizers who are not gastronomy students, but generally Tourism and Hospitality students who, due to their work area, require knowledge of the financial area of food and beverages.

Sustainability

The simulator will be sustainable by the bank of suppliers, companies that, because they have their product catalog, will cancel an affordable price, in addition there will be marketing of businesses related to the gastronomic sector.

It is envisioned to expand the bank of suppliers not only of perishable and non-perishable supplies, but also to include companies that offer complementary ecological supplies such as: tableware, packaging, cutlery, stationery, among others.
