Arturo Caballero Bassedas is the Deputy Director General (a.i.) of the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of European Commission. He is also the Director for Performance management, Supervision and Resources.

His previous work experience in the Commission includes managerial posts in the Directorate-Generals for Financial Control, Internal Audit Service and Informatics.
