Building Open Source Data-Driven Content for Tomorrow's Educators

In today’s dynamic digital landscape, creativity and technology intersect more than ever. There are skill gaps among creative talents. The Cyanotypes initiative wants to outline emerging occupational profiles to define future upskilling and reskilling activities for our sector. To this end we have been working on a course titled “Mastering Digital Competencies: From Literacy to Creative Innovation”. 

This session is dedicated to designing practical, skill-building lessons focused on digital creativity and innovation, aimed at boosting digital literacy and creative confidence. 

This hackathon will have a 2-day duration, where, together, we will develop an engaging lesson templates on “Digital Tools for Creative Work”. At the end of the hackathon the results will be presented to the judges.

Day 1 - Welcome and Context + deep dive into Challenge

  • Understanding and Utilisation of Digital Tools
  • Integration and Application of Creative Techniques
  • Critical Evaluation and Iteration

Expectations and requirements for the solutions and participants

Expectations:  

  1. Engage Actively and Collaboratively
    Bring a collaborative spirit and be prepared to share ideas openly. This session relies on brainstorming and cooperative problem-solving to develop cohesive and impactful lesson templates.
  2. Contribute Subject Matter Expertise
    Participants should bring relevant expertise in digital literacy, digital creativity, instructional design, or data-driven education. 
  3. Understand Training Design Basics
    Participants should be ready to contribute to structuring lesson content and setting clear learning objectives.

 

Requirements: 

  • Be engaged throughout the whole session via an online connection
  • Personal interest and or knowledge in the two topics to be developed: Digital Tools for Creative Work and Innovative Methods in Digital Creativity.
