Disrupt Education: Build the Future

Join forces with forward-thinking innovators to build the next wave of educational solutions. Whether you’re a coding genius, design wizard, or simply passionate about enhancing the learning experience, this is your chance to leave a mark on the future of education.

Event Format:
Online Phase: November 8 - 9, 2024 (10:00h - 10:00h) (Remote participation)
On-site Phase: November 10, 2024 (12:00h  - 15:00h) (Science and Technology Park, Fruškogorska 1, Novi Sad,  Serbia)

During the online phase, your team will collaborate to create prototypes that transform education. Our panel of judges will select the top 5 teams to advance to the on-site final event, where the best solution for Serbia will be chosen. The winning team will then represent Serbia in the global DigiEduHack 2024 competition!

Here are a few focus areas:

  • AI-Powered Learning Assistants: Create smart tools to support personalised learning or enhance classroom interaction.
  • AR/VR Experiences: Design immersive environments that bring textbooks to life or enable hands-on practice in a virtual space.
  • 3D Printing Solutions: Develop models or tools that enhance STEM education by making abstract concepts tangible.
  • Interactive Learning Platforms: Build platforms that integrate various digital tools to boost engagement and simplify complex topics.

Expectations and requirements for the solutions and participants

 

Who Can Apply?

Teams of 3-4 students currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program or in highschool. Whether you have experience with these technologies or a fresh perspective on education, we want you to be part of this innovation journey!

Tasks for Participants:

  • Research: Identify a challenge in traditional education that can be solved with emerging technology.
  • Ideation: Brainstorm creative solutions, focusing on improving student engagement, interactivity, or learning efficiency.
  • Prototype Development: Use AI, AR/VR, 3D printing, or other emerging tech to create a working mockup or prototype of your solution.
  • Presentation: Prepare a pitch and demonstrate how your solution can make education more effective and engaging for students.

How to Apply:
Register your team, submit your ideas, and take the first step toward revolutionising education. The deadline for submissions is from October 9 to October 23, 2024.

We are excited to offer you a series of workshop training sessions

Save the dates: 

Tuesday, October 29th, Wednesday, October 30th and Saturday, November 2nd. On these dates, you will attend workshops: two focused on soft skills and two on hard skills. 

On October 29th, the workshop will cover Public Presentation Skills, and on October 30th The Application of Emerging Technologies in Education

On November 2nd, the topics will be How to Win a Hackathon and How to Create Excellent Mockup Solutions.

In total, you will participate in four training workshops led by instructors from Serbia, Estonia, and Spain!
