DigiEduHack 2025

Rethinking education in the age of digital skills.

Get ready: the 6th edition of DigiEduHack will take place 7-16 Nov 2025

Seize the opportunity, let's support people-driven digital transformation in education together!

Escape Hacker

Escape Hacker is an educational escape game created within Roblox to teach students about the dangers of the online world, such as phishing, fake news, and online scams. What makes this project unique is that it was developed entirely by students working in collaborative teams, simulating a real-world game development process.

Each team member had a specific role: the Creative Director guided the overall vision of the game, the Game Designer crafted the challenges and puzzles, the Scripter and Programmer implemented the game mechanics, the Time Keeper and Project Manager ensured deadlines and workflow were met, while the Media Literacy Expert and Researcher provided crucial knowledge about online safety and realistic threat scenarios.

By working together, students not only built an engaging and educational game, but also learned essential skills in teamwork, problem-solving, project management, and digital literacy. The game encourages players to think critically, make safe online decisions, and collaborate effectively, all while having fun in a digital environment they helped create.

The address for this onsite hackathon is: Rijstelstraat 7, 8200 Brugge
