Reinventing Education: Helping Students Learn, Create and Grow with AI

Participants develop solutions that help young people maintain and enhance their motivation to learn and grow in a time when artificial intelligence is transforming education and the workplace. The task is to create digital tools or platforms that inspire youth to become active creators of knowledge rather than just AI users, fostering self-development, critical thinking, and creativity.

This hackathon is happening in frames of coding course for 12th grade students and is limited only to selected schools. No external applicants are accepted to this hackathon.

Challenge and goals

Goals:

  1. Inspire Innovation – Encourage participants to design creative AI-driven solutions that enhance student learning and motivation.
  2. Empower Learners – Develop tools that help students become active creators, thinkers, and problem-solvers in the AI era.
  3. Transform Education – Explore new ways to integrate artificial intelligence into teaching and learning to make education more personalised, engaging, and future-ready.
  4. Foster Collaboration – Bring together educators, technologists, and students to co-create meaningful advancements in education.
Expectations and requirements for the solutions and participants

Requirements:

  1. Team Composition – Each team should include 2–5 participants (students, educators, or developers).
  2. Project Focus – Solutions must address student motivation, creativity, or learning enhancement through AI.
  3. AI Integration – The project should demonstrate meaningful use of artificial intelligence (e.g., personalisation, feedback, content generation).
  4. Functionality – A working prototype, demo, or clear concept must be presented at the end of the hackathon.
  5. Ethical Standards – Projects must promote responsible AI use, ensuring privacy, inclusivity, and transparency.
  6. Pitch – Teams must pitch their solution with a short presentation or video demo (5 minutes).
Available Support

Mentors and the organising team will provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the hackathon. They will support participants in shaping their ideas, refining prototypes, and ensuring effective use of AI tools. The team’s goal is to create an encouraging environment where every student can learn, collaborate, and succeed.
