Skillman BadgeUp Hackathon

The "BadgeUp Hackathon" is an exciting event that invites participants to explore and create digital credentials while integrating AI into the design process. The challenge encourages students to understand the value of digital badges and how AI can enhance their effectiveness and appeal. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, learning how digital badges can recognise skills and achievements through the Digital Qualification Framework (DQF).

The challenge consists of several key steps:

Kickoff Meeting – Participants will be introduced to the concept of Digital Credentials and the DQF. An expert will guide them through the materials, followed by a Q&A session. Participants will reflect on their learning and share insights.
Mastery of the Tool – Participants will register on the dqf.eu platform and practice creating a digital badge, receiving technical support to help them understand the platform’s features.
Applying Real Content – Participants will create a fully developed digital badge using AI, not just for visuals but for designing key elements like the badge’s criteria and metadata. The badge should represent real skills and achievements and can serve as a template for future programs.
The challenge aims to raise awareness about Digital Credentials and their potential to transform skills recognition using AI, fostering creativity, collaboration, and the adoption of new technologies.

The address for this onsite hackathon is: Via Puccini, 80, 51100 Pistoia (Italy)
