Skills Intelligence: Create Your Own Microcredential Framework
Key Elements of Microcredential Frameworks
- Defined Learning Outcomes: Each microcredential has clear and specific learning outcomes that are assessed and verified.
- Stackability: Microcredentials can often be stacked or combined to form larger credentials, such as a degree.
- Portability: They are designed to be portable across different institutions and employers, ensuring that the skills and knowledge gained are widely recognised.
- Alignment with Industry Needs: These frameworks are often developed in collaboration with industry partners to ensure that the skills taught are relevant and in demand

Challenge and goals
Targeted Learning Pathways: By using Skills Intelligence, educational institutions and employers can create targeted learning pathways through microcredentials that address specific skill gaps.
Expectations and requirements for the solutions and participants
Participants will be tasked with creating a brief or case study for how an existing or fictional organisation can develop a learning pathway/framework. This framework should break down the knowledge area into modules that are flexible, transferable, and stackable. The focus is on addressing skill shortages within the organisation through skill development and lifelong learning, rather than through recruitment.
