App "Ecofix"

Solution details

Our Eco Lawyers team sees the solution of the ecologies problem in the Ecofix application. This solution includes both aspects of data collection (by function “Ecodanger”, which allows to report a treath and specify it by using markers) and decision making (conducting for discussions for public organisations and scientific institutions though module “Solution" and asking the opinion of the public though the module Eco.Vote). An additional modules such as “Weather” and “Legal assistants” will make the app more versatile, and the module “My eco space” with reputation system would encourage people to participate in project.

Context

The challenge is that under war conditions  a conventional legal practice is applied with major limitations, especially concerning data gathering and transmission, so some special solution is needed to secure the safety of citizens but also share information on the environmental impacts of war

Who Benefits?

the target group is the society in general but also government bodies and non-profit organizations, which dealing with environmental damages of war. The environmental monitoring in war conditions is limited, so citizen-generated data is a vital option

Impact

the solution shall provide the technological platforms, which provides a wide access by different stakeholders, securing all legal requirements, citizen safety concerns, quick information transfer.

Team work

In the mid term the solution require a technical development, which will fit the conditions in Ukraine, a solid legal framework to provide a great service for citizens but well institutions. In the long run, the solution may become a kind of community-relate app, which is actively used by citizens to participate in environmental monitoring

Innovativeness

The suggested platform is having a broad and flexible functionality, which may be adopted to changing legal regulations. The platform will be applied as a app with multiple options to customize and work in online and offline mode

Transferability

This solution may be transferred to any area, which requires to deal with citizen-generated data of social, cultural, educational, legal, environmental, technological or other purpose of use.

Sustainability

The solution indicates the creating of the sustainable network, which will include several key players, including government bodies, legislative institutions, non-profit organizations, international agencies. The solution will comply with the legal regulations and will have a strong connection to a community quality of life.
