Context
In Mexico alone, there are around 5.5 million upper-secondary students. Approximately 49% belong to socio-economic levels D+, D and E (AMAI, 2022), representing about 2.7 million highly vulnerable students. Many face shared devices, unstable internet, limited learning resources, and must balance school with work, increasing disengagement and dropout. At the same time, educational content online is scattered and hard to match to a student’s level, wasting time and lowering effectiveness. Furthermore, students lack safe, structured ways to connect locally, leading to weak collaboration, low social capital, and reduced opportunities. This highlights the need for a secure hyper-local environment that centralizes open resources, enables AI-driven personalized learning routes, and supports community, academic, and entrepreneurial collaboration.
Who Benefits?
PathWise is designed for secondary education and early undergraduate students (12–24 years old) , especially those in public schools from low-to medium-income households. These students often face:
Little access to study resources, shared devices, and unstable internet
Low academic support at home and almost no guidance to choose a career path Isolation
Absence of safe, verified spaces to connect with peers in their own city or region to build real extracurricular experience and strengthen their CVs
Limited access to local opportunities (volunteering, entrepreneurship projects, internships, research groups, and civic initiatives) that remain hidden or inaccessible without a structured local network
Limited digital skills, including how to use AI-tools in a safe and useful way
PathWise is built specifically to support this group, the students who are most often left out by traditional educational systems.
Impact
PathWise accelerates upward social mobility by providing underserved students with personalized roadmaps for university admission, scholarships, and academic milestones—areas often blocked by fragmented information. It strengthens professional development through a verified hyper-local network where students collaborate on entrepreneurship, volunteering, and civic projects, generating verifiable experience and portfolio assets. PathWise multiplies study efficiency while enabling same-city collaboration from day one. By centralizing open educational resources and generating personalized multimodal content, the platform boosts early collaboration. Through its AI-driven analytics and big data insights, it detects structural deficiencies in regional study programs. PathWise also measures its impact via anonymized collaboration with NGOs and government policymakers, enabling more inclusive, data-driven educational strategies.

Innovativeness
PathWise is innovative because it unifies key domains into a centralized ecosystem that addresses systemic educational inequality through emerging technology, positioning itself as a pioneer of a Society 5.0 approach.
It creates the first platform that safely connects students from different institutions within the same city to co-create entrepreneurial, volunteer and civic initiatives, supported by an AI-based roadmap for scholarships and admissions.
Its hyper-local community, verified via school email or QR with GDPR-compliant yes/no validation, enables locally verifiable experiences and multimodal AI-generated learning materials, something never seen before.
By connecting students, opportunities and resources, PathWise transforms scattered talent and fragmented ecosystems into structured pathways for academic advancement, equitable portfolio building and community-driven innovation.
Transferability
The platform is highly transferable thanks to its modular design and AI-driven diagnostic system: PWA (Progressive Web App). Its core technology: personalized learning plans, progress tracking, and goal-based recommendations, can be adapted to any educational level or context, including middle school remediation, university upskilling, vocational training, and adult education. Wherever learners want to grow, the platform adapts to local needs; making it scalable across disciplines, countries, and learning environments.
Furthermore, its Community section can be adapted to any socioeconomic context, allowing students to collaborate, connect, and build networks within their city, as well as allowing students to meet people from same degrees in different universities or with similar likings, fostering inter-institutional collaboration and inclusive academic ecosystems.
Sustainability
PathWise operates under a sustainable freemium model, keeping its core platform permanently free for students and schools. This free tier is supported by strictly moderated, family-friendly advertisements from education-focused partners. Thanks to its centralized student user base, educational enterprises are incentivized to invest in PathWise over traditional channels.
The Premium tier offers in-depth learning analytics, personalized insights, and automated dashboards delivered via web and low-barrier channels such as email and messaging services (e.g., WhatsApp) to promote digital inclusion. PathWise also provides optional institutional analytics licenses (2,000-5,000 annually), creating B2B revenue while amplifying systemic educational impact.
It will launch in Mexico targeting low & medium-income students (5% adoption 275k, 5% Premium conversion 13,750k), scale across Latin America mid-term, and globally long-term. PathWise also aims to become the first student-based social platform promoting continuous academic socialization, gradually reducing the social capital gap.
