What is DigiEduHack?
DigiEduHack is an EU initiative that aims to foster grassroots innovation, collaboration and creativity and to drive positive change in digital education.
How does it work?
DigiEduHack is a series of 24-hour grassroots local hackathons taking place over a period of eight days, from 6 to 13 November. Whether in Europe or elsewhere around the globe, participants come together to create solutions to diverse digital education-related challenges.
DigiEduHack started in 2019, as part of the first Digital Education Action Plan of the European Commission. For its first three editions, it gathered more than 6,700 participants from Europe and beyond. The initiative continues under the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027, with a long-term goal to support grassroots innovation and contribute to the objectives of the European Digital Education Hub.

How can we leverage emerging technologies to enhance the personalized learning experience while prioritizing the well-being of students?
Challenge Details:
Personalized Learning: Develop solutions that use emerging technologies, such as AI and virtual reality, to create personalized learning journeys for students. These technologies should adapt content and teaching methods to individual needs and preferences, promoting engagement and motivation.
Well-being Integration: Ensure that the use of emerging technologies considers students' mental and emotional well-being. How can technology be harnessed to reduce stress, foster a sense of belonging, and promote healthy digital habits among learners?
Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analytics and AI to monitor and assess students' well-being throughout their learning journey. How can emerging tech provide early intervention and support for students facing well-being challenges?
Inclusivity: Consider how emerging tech can make education more inclusive, addressing diverse learning styles and abilities while fostering a sense of community and support among learners.
Ethical Use of Technology: Address ethical concerns related to the use of emerging tech in education, such as data privacy, algorithm bias, and digital addiction. How can we ensure that technology enhances well-being without compromising ethical principles?

Participants should aim to create innovative solutions that combine emerging technologies with pedagogical approaches to provide a personalized, engaging, and well-balanced learning experience.
