Green Campus Hackathon: Building Digital Solutions for SDG and Green Agenda
Do you imagine a campus where every corner reflects a commitment to the environment, actions spark change, and lead the way in sustainable practices? Do you have ideas on enhancing sustainable and green development on your campus? Do you want to voice your ideas and produce solutions that will transform Higher Education Institutions into sustainable and environmentally responsible places?
We’re excited to announce the #Green Campus Hackathon, a 2-days online hackathon event. The only requirements are being a member of a Higher Education Institution and having a good comprehension of the English language.
The event is organized by the “INVITE” Erasmus+ project and its consortium (https://invite-erasmus.eu/) and challenge participants to co-create innovative, sustainable solutions in an international setting. Challenge and goals
“Green Campus Hackathon” challenges everyone in the higher education community to make a real impact on campus life by enhancing international collaboration, creativity, and innovation to propose original, feasible, and sustainable solutions for global environmental problems.
Teams will produce solutions that could be implemented into the Universities’ strategic planning, to enhance sustainable and green development according to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals and other local or national Green Agenda policies.
#Green Campus Hackathon is your chance to improve your campus’s daily life! It invites YOU to unleash your creativity and innovative spirit to propose actionable ideas that enhance environmental practices on University campuses. Whether it’s reducing waste, conserving energy, or fostering biodiversity, your ideas could create a significant impact on your campus, your community, and the planet!
Within 2 days you can collaborate with peers, brainstorm, and become a leader of change! Provide us with your solution via a 3-minute pitch deck video, make the difference, and win exciting prizes!
Expectations and requirements for the solutions and participants
Each team should have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 members. Individual registration for participants who are looking for a team is possible.
For the purposes of the present hackathon, all ideation tools are correct, and none is wrong! The project ideation methodology utilized by the participants will not be evaluated or even submitted as part of their final solution.
The final project should be submitted ONLY in the form of a pitch deck video presentation. The pitch deck presentation should be a 3 minutes (maximum) video that will be uploaded on the INVITE platforms’ wall and at DigiEduHack. Judges and other teams will be able to watch the videos on the platform’s wall and evaluate each team’s idea, creativity and presentation skills.
