Context

There are three main problems in the current education system: high workload on professors leading to lack of personalized feedback, standardized tests that don’t accurately represent knowledge, and a culture of rote learning. The proposed solution is to harness AI to create a personalized learning environment, design meaningful assessments, and foster lifelong learning. This requires enhancing digital literacy and ensuring the AI tools are ethical, transparent, and inclusive.

Who Benefits?

The solution targets students and professors across all fields and levels of education, aiming to enhance their learning and teaching experiences respectively. Students will benefit from personalized, adaptive learning experiences, improved communication with professors, and a more engaging and accessible learning process. Professors will see improvements in teaching effectiveness and efficiency. The solution also fosters a positive learning environment and enables timely, constructive feedback. It tailors instruction to each student’s needs and monitors their progress. It also promotes peer learning, enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The solution is inclusive, catering to users with potential disabilities or challenges.

Impact

The solution aims to improve learning efficiency, promote healthier learning habits, and foster a positive perception of AI. It uses AI to provide personalized feedback and support, enabling students to learn more effectively. It also helps students avoid stress and enhances their motivation and engagement. Team work

We consider ourselves an adequate team to develop this solution because of our past experiences such as the use and implementation of an AI API in practical use as well as web development in general. Furthermore, we have a diverse skillset which includes experience in education as both teachers, on very small scale, and students mostly, social work and a passion to work on solving issues that affect people on a larger scale. As a group of students, by providing this solution, we are trying to point out downsides of the current educational format which may be improved by using a “power of the future” which constantly evolves so we wish to give the education itself an evolution it deserves.

Innovativeness

We use artificial intelligence to analyse the students' strengths, weaknesses, preferences, and goals and provide them with customized feedback, guidance, and resources. We also involve the teachers, parents, and peers in the learning process, creating a collaborative and supportive environment for the students. The solution is innovative because it leverages the power and potential of AI to create a flexible and adaptive learning system that can accommodate different learners and contexts. Currently on the market there are attempts to tackle similar issues, but despite our research, we have not found any solution that attempts to use the power and possibilities and applications of AI to utilize an outcome of learning process, which is prescribed by national curriculum, into generating learning content (material such as scripts, tests and so on).

Transferability

Our solution is highly transferable to different domains and learning goals. Instead of national curriculum, the AI model can use different forms of sources provided by a course creator. The literature can be any text that is relevant to the field of study or the specific learning objective, such as a book, a journal article, a blog post, or a web page in a certain format. The user can be a student, a teacher, a researcher, or anyone who wants to learn from the literature. The system can adapt to the level and needs of the user and provide personalized and interactive learning experiences.

Sustainability

The solution involves designing and developing a user-friendly, accessible, and secure app based on user needs and feedback. A pilot test will be conducted with a sample of students and teachers to collect feedback and improve the app’s functionality and effectiveness. The app will be gradually scaled up and promoted through various channels, with partnerships sought to support its adoption and sustainability. A feedback loop aligned with sustainability principles will be implemented to ensure the app adapts to evolving student needs while minimizing its ecological footprint. This approach ensures a long-lasting, environmentally conscious solution that meets educational requirements.
