EduSync is a web platform that takes any type of educational data (spreadsheets, reports, audio recordings, whatever) and automatically makes it searchable and comparable.

Main components:
- Smart upload system that handles CSV, Excel, PDFs, and even audio files
- AI processing that extracts key information and creates searchable labels
- Natural language search so you can ask questions like "which interventions improved math scores the most?"
- Regional comparison dashboards with interactive charts
- Multi-language support (Czech/English for now, easy to add more)

Tech stack: Phoenix LiveView frontend, Rust backend for fast processing, PostgreSQL with vector search, Whisper for audio transcription, Mistral AI for understanding content.

Implementation plan:

Phase 1 (Done): Core platform with file upload, AI labeling, basic queries
Phase 2 (2-3 weeks): Add more file types, improve label accuracy, add export features
Phase 3 (1-2 months): Connect to live data sources, add collaboration features, scale to more regions

Main resources needed: Cloud hosting (around $200/month for production), API credits for AI services, feedback from actual teachers and administrators.

Barriers we see: Getting schools to actually share their data (privacy concerns), making sure the AI correctly understands educational terminology in different languages, convincing administrators to trust automated insights.

How does it enhance digital education and how do we measure success?

Right now, education administrators spend days or weeks manually comparing data between schools or regions. We cut that to minutes. They can spot what's working (or not working) fast enough to actually do something about it.

Success metrics:
- Time saved: Track how long it takes to get insights (target: under 5 minutes vs days manually)
- Adoption rate: Number of regions/schools using it
- Query accuracy: How often the AI gives useful answers (aiming for 85%+)
- Action taken: How many decisions or changes happen based on insights from the platform
