Blue Escape: Develop Systems Thinking Skills Through Virtual Escape Rooms (Online)

The Baltic Sea region faces significant challenges in balancing the growth of blue economy sectors with the need for environmental protection. Sectors like maritime transport, tourism, and fisheries rely heavily on a healthy marine ecosystem, yet unsustainable practises and human pressures continue to threaten the sea's well-being. To address these issues, a shift in mindset and approach is necessary, starting with education.

This online hackathon aims to harness the power of virtual escape rooms as an innovative educational tool to engage students in learning about sustainable blue economy practices and foster systems thinking skills. By creating immersive, game-based learning experiences, we can make education more engaging and effective in preparing the next generation of leaders and decision-makers to tackle the complex challenges facing the Baltic Sea region. By participating in this online hackathon, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the future of education and the sustainability of the Baltic Sea region's blue economy. Join us in creating engaging, immersive learning experiences that inspire students to become agents of change and contribute to a more sustainable future for all.
