Seize the opportunity, let's support people-driven digital transformation in education together!

What is DigiEduHack ?

DigiEduHack is an EU initiative that aims to foster grassroots innovation, collaboration and creativity and to drive positive change in digital education.

This initiative opens up a world of exciting opportunities for learning, collaboration and innovation. Are you an organisation interested in hosting a local event, a student, educator or entrepreneur, or a digital education enthusiast who wants to join a hack? DigiEduHack offers a unique space where you can unleash your creativity and explore the latest trends and technologies in digital education.

At DigiEduHack, you have the chance to participate in dynamic local events, connect with a diverse community of like-minded individuals and showcase your skills and talent on a global stage. DigiEduHack is the perfect place for anyone who wants to stay ahead of the curve and shape the future of education in the digital age.

How does it work?
DigiEduHack is a series of 24-hour grassroots local hackathons taking place over a period of eight days, from 6 to 13 November. Whether in Europe or elsewhere around the globe, participants come together to create solutions to diverse digital education-related challenges.

DigiEduHack started in 2019, as part of the first Digital Education Action Plan of the European Commission. For its first three editions, it gathered more than 6,700 participants from Europe and beyond. The initiative continues under the Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027, with a long-term goal to support grassroots innovation and contribute to the objectives of the European Digital Education Hub.

People at the centre of digital education

In the highly digitalised 21st century, having strong digital literacy and skills is essential for achieving success. Technology has transformed education in incredible ways, including the way people experience teaching and learning. The good news is that we can harness the potential of these technologies to enhance our education experience, by creating an education landscape that prepares us for the digital world and fosters deep connections and a sense of community.

Putting people at the core of digital education means creating a personalised and meaningful experience for all. It's about establishing a sense of care, belonging, empowerment and empathy, in a context where technology plays an increasingly prominent role in the learning process.

Join us as we work towards a revolution in digital education and unlock endless possibilities for growth and success.

Governance

We know that effective governance is key to ensuring the success of any initiative, which is why we work with two teams of excellent thinkers to guide, help and advise us every step of the way.

Our Steering Group members and our National Ambassadors Network play a crucial role in making sure our initiative has as big an impact as possible.

And we don't just rely on their expertise behind the scenes – our governance members are active participants in our events and programmes, helping us create a truly collaborative and innovative community.
